The role of SENDIASS Southend is to ensure that children and young people with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities) and their parents or carers have access to impartial information, advice and support so that they can make informed decisions about matters relating to their special educational needs.

Training and Information 

In January 2019 SENDIASS Southend introduced a training and information programme. Free training about SEND (special education needs and disabilities) in education, health and social care is delivered to children and young people with SEND, their parent carers, and a range of professionals.
